Documents Required For Navodaya Vidyalaya Admission 2025

- Proof of Date of Birth – A copy of the Birth Certificate issue by the relevant Government Authority.
- Eligibility Proof – Documentation confirming eligibility as per the norms and conditions set by NVS.
- Rural Quota Eligibility (If Applicable) – A certificate from the District Administration confirming that the candidate completed Class 8th (For 9th Class Admission) & Class 5th (For VIth Class Admission) in a school located in a rural area (for those applying under the rural quota).
- Residence Certificate – A valid residential proof as per the Government of India guidelines showing that the parent resides in the same district where the JNV is located and where the candidate studied Class VIII & Class V.
- Aadhaar Card – A copy of the candidate’s Aadhaar Card, as required by Section 7 of the Aadhaar Act 2016.
- Head Master Certificate – A certificate from the Headmaster of the current school confirming the candidate’s study details.
- Medical Fitness Certificate
- Divyang Certificate (If Applicable)
- Category/Community Certificate (If Applicable)
Important Notes
Transfer Certificate – After document verification and admission confirmation by the respective JNV, a Transfer Certificate from the parent school is required, signed by the District Education Authorities (DEO/BEO, etc.).
No Requests for Credential Modifications – Once the admission process is completed, no requests for changes in credentials (Area/Gender/Category/JNV) will be entertained.
