UPSC CDS 1 Exam Pattern 2025
The CDS 1 Exam Paper 2025 is held offline in a pen-and-paper format. For candidates applying for IMA, INA, and AFA, the CDS Paper will consist of 300 questions of 300 marks whereas those applying for OTA will answer 200 questions for a total of 200 marks. The exam follows a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format, with each correct answer earning +1 mark, and each incorrect answer resulting in a deduction of 0.33 marks. Candidates have to solve exam paper in 2 hours duration.
For IMA, INA, and AFA candidates will have English, General Knowledge, and Elementary Mathematics three sections while OTA aspirants only have English and General Knowledge. The exam will available in both English and Hindi, except for the English paper, which is conducted solely in English.
