To be eligible for admission to private schools in Chhattisgarh under the RTE Scheme, a child who is resident of the state and fall within the age range of 3 to 6.5 years. Additionally, the child must belong to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), or Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). The family income should not exceed Rs. 1 lakh per year. The child must not have been previously enrolled in any school nor should have dropped out of any school.
